IRSE 10 is a series of short-form presentations on railway engineering, education, and professional standards, produced by the IRSE and presented by some of the industry’s leading engineers in signaling and communications. The videos were directed by Prettybright Ltd, recorded at B30 Studios in Birmingham, and edited by Cactusflower.

Kat first reached out in 2021 during the pandemic, when she wanted to produce a series of videos for her newsletter subscribers. The biggest challenge we faced at the time was that I couldn’t head out with my video equipment because of the lockdown, so Kat decided that with my guidance, she would film the tutorials herself. And so we embarked on a challenging, and at times hilarious journey, figuring out how to film together remotely. Kat did a wonderful job shooting her videos, and she was then able to pass the footage to me for editing. As a result, we built a whole new way of working together, and we’ve been filming her Instagram reels in the same way ever since.
